Internal security and environment

are the most improtant issues that we need to concentrate on right now

and once we are at peace with them, the remaining development should

follow.
Involving the common man will yield tremendous results. Everyone

would be able to associate with the country more closely, more

patriotism, more fervour and more intrest in activities that would

promote the development of the nation. The much needed "sense of

belonging" can be created to a certain extent and then it can be used in

other areas of country's intrest.
The internal security problem is being given less importance than

what it deserves. It needs to be highlighted, IN THE SAME WAY AS AN

"ASH-ABHI" WEDDING, IN THE SAME WAY AS AN INDIAN CRICKET WIN. Internal

security is of paramount importance and in a way safegudaring it is equal

to safeguarding our independence. Our independence to live a safe and

secure life is in danger, shouldnt we launch an offensive?
When terrorist organizations openly announce that they would

terrorise the country, why cant the anti-terror mechanism vow to do the

same. Yes, it is true that we see condolence messages every time an

attack happens. It is also true that police and anti-terrorist cells are

working very hard to solve this problem. But it is very evident that what

is being done is not enough. We need to do more, the common man needs to

do more and he needs to know what he can do to make his life safer and

secure.

Extremists will be very few in number and they spread their cause

by finding people who can be easily mentored to follow suit. For any

program, jihad for that matter, to succeed it needs efforts from the

grass root level. So if extremist attacks are succeeding in our country,

it only means that the extremists are being able to reach a good number

of people at the grass root level and influence them. The counter

strategy should also be the same. Common people, "the aam aadmi", should

be made aware of the meance of terrorism and should be empowered with

minimum knowledge of what he can do to prevent "seeds of terror" from

being sown in his area. The police and other similar forces are not

equipped that well enough to tackle this problem just by themselves. It

will be an even better idea if there is an anti-terrorist cell, that too

a trained one, just like the police; set up. It should be very strong in

number and also in conviction to perform the duty that its established to

perform. Let the army guard the borders and let us not waste its

resources on internal problems. The army cant do anything and we dont

want our enemies to take advantage of a situation in which most of the

fighting forces are busy guardig internal problems than our external

boundaries.
All of this is easier said than done.It only needs commitment from the

governments, federal and state, for there are a lot of unemployed youth

with enough patriotism in them to serve the country. But commitment from

the government is such a difficult thing to acheive, what with most of

the netas out there concerned about their safety and intrests only. Its

enough for them if they have bodyguards and commandos guarding them. What

about us? If they do want their children and grand children to be a part

of a safer India, I m sure that this can be done. But if they are still

sucked into the peril of serving their own greed and be least bothered

about the country and the generations to come, they wont do it.
No need to talk about the money aspect though. Everyone knows there is no

dearth of funds in our country. It is always a question of pumping them

for the right causes.

If anyone of us is ever in a position of power we must always be able to

act in a way as to serve our country, no matter how small it may seem to

be. "Hundreds of drops do make an ocean."

Dumbest Articleson Rediff!

I read an article called "Love SACHIN FOR wHAT HE WAS" on rediff. It was brought directly out of somebody's blog and posted on the home page. What a disgrace reading that article was!!!!! Love Sachin for what he was????? this is what i have to say about it..

I express my deepest dismay at those lines. I want to bring an analogy into picture. Gals look very gud in their twenties, with age its natural that u get wrinkles and all. So the beauty in 20s may not be there when it comes to 40's...same case for husband..husband might have hair in his 20's..he may have nothing in his 40's...so will we say love ur spouse for what he was 20 years back? dont u love him day in and day out, irrespective of his externities? Thats the kind of love people have for sachin...love once born will never die...unless its a suicide.

Nature Calls.Literally

I wrote this particular article a long time back...but I do hope its worth a place in my blog...hope u enjoy reading it.
The day started for us like a usual college day. We were four in all (I am not talking about on auto). Two on each bike. We were riding back home after a very dull, monotonous and routine day in college. Someone decided that this routine had to break. Alas! It broke. It broke in a bad way. The back tyre of the bike that I wasn't traveling on, got punctured. My pals on this bike had to stop obviously.
On seeing that these guys were stranded in the middle of nowhere on the highway near Yendada, we made a U-turn and headed back to help them. The nearest mechanic shop was a kilometer away- not that far, considering the fact that we drive our bikes at breakneck speeds. But we were driving a little slowly and still it did not take much time for us to reach the mechanic. Luckily there was one available and he readily got ready to tackle the puncture. While two were away to the mechanic shop, we two were sitting near the Yendada bus stop, protecting the punctured bike from possible intruders. At this moment, we realized the sun was beating down quite hard. This was pulling the remaining luster out from our lack-luster faces. So much just for a puncture, we thought!
As it happens in most cases, the other two guys kept us waiting. Again the same old discussion, how long would it take for the tube to be repaired, what are these guys doing? A cell in hand at that particular moment would have given us the opportunity to call, but cell phones are not always handy, at least in these circumstances when our imagination soars to unthinkable levels. I mean, how many different interpretations can a human mind make out of a situation? A question that is best left unanswered.
All of a sudden we could feel a whiff of cool air breezing past us. Wow! the weather god had something in store for us. The weather turned on its head. Clouds started gathering all around us. They were moving in opposite directions and they were so dense that we could think of nothing but rain at that particular instant. But then, keeping up with the longstanding tradition of nature's unpredictability, the clouds decided to offer us something more special, something more picturesque, something that was just spellbinding.
The clouds started circling around as if to form a Tornado. Yes, but Tornados are not a part of this world, so there was no fear of having one and thus no fear of having to run helter-skelter for shelter. Out of the blue, my friends appeared -as if they were out for so long playing in the clouds. It was getting cooler and cooler by the clock tick. The weather was enthralling to say the least. The bike got ready and we decided to record the wonderful moments that were to follow.

We started moving, we were driving as slow as we could to get the most out of this exuberant atmosphere around us. Black clouds above us, green mountains beside us, the dark and perfectly laid out road in front of us and the camera with us. This was surely an excellent package. We stopped again. This time not because of a puncture, but because the nature called us, literally. Amidst the gloom of the dark clouds and the greenery of the innumerable trees that thrived on the hills, we suddenly saw a spark of light. It wasn't lightening, it wasn't a star either. It was something we just saw for once. This spark was the jewel in the crown. The nature was at its wonderful best. It took a lot of time for this feeling to sink in. the feeling of being pampered in the lap of nature, the feeling of being treated to the most pleasantest of treats, the feeling of being fresh and enchanted. Oh! Can anything beat that? Again a question that is best left unanswered.

While all this was a great experience for the four of us, we supposed it wasn't for the other people who were going on the same path we had taken. I mean, we could see people laughing at us while we were busy enjoying the gifts nature was offering. This was the saddest part of it all. If people think that stopping on the road and taking a look at the wonderful surroundings constitutes an act of an eccentric person, then it is so nonsensical. Of course we too had a silent laugh for all those who couldn't realize the beauty they were engulfed in. We only hoped that we could get to see umpteen instances of such exhilarating scenery and also that everybody would be able to take in the essence of being in the lap of nature. No other place on the Eastern Ghats can probably boast of having beaches and mountains so close to each other. We should be proud to be Vizagites and a part of its remarkable natural wealth. Let us do our best to preserve it.

PS: Oh,,. the downpour started and we headed for our homes.

What our batsmen lack!

What Indian Batsmen Lack.

I was watching the second test match that was played between India and South Africa at Kingsmead, Durban. The focus here is on how the batsmen played in this particular test match and a generalization follows.

For the entirety of the match, the Proteas' bowlers were able to extract bounce from the wicket and that was our undoing. Indian batsmen became susceptible to two kinds of deliveries, the one thats in the corridor of uncertainity and the other that would bounce high from short of good length. On the other hand, the South Africans had only one way to get out, that was in the uncertainity corridor. The Indian seamers lacked the ability to bounce out or at least frighten the South Africans with their bounce.

And because of our susceptibility to two kinds of deliveries, our batsmen probably had to make a choice between either of them. They decided to leave the short stuff alone for most of the time and most of them got out poking or hitting outside the off-stump. How ironical!

Now lets get back to what the Indian Batsmen were lacking in. Its not just application. The Indians deleted the pull and the hook shots from their repertoire for the whole of the tour until now. With these shots excluded, there are very limited options for scoring. And one cannot just sit at the wicket. He needs to be committed to either the front foot or
the back foot to score some runs(As Dhoni showed in second innings and Laxman in the first). And always driving on the up from the crease is not that good an option(What happenned to Sehwag?). Look at the consistency in the bounce. One could as well argue that the ball was lifting from short of good length, but the bounce was true most of the times. A pull shot is always on in such conditions. Pollock gave a few lessons on how balls must be pulled to everyone out there. Nel and Ntini were always bowling short enough for the ball to be pulled, bowling from wide of the crease and angling the ball in. Sad that players of the caliber of Sachin and Dravid are not playing the pull shot either.Laxman was perhaps the
lone exception. Man, these guys have to get their strokes going. It would be at least better to see our blokes getting out to strokes rather than to 'nothing' shots.

The root cause for all this is ofcourse the kind of pitches that are on offer in our country. Secondly, lets not forget that we don't have the kind of bowlers who can extract the kind of bounce the Proteas can. As a result, when our batsmen face these bowlers in the nets even on South African turfs, the bounce still remains well short of what is dished out to us in the match. This means that our batsmen are not fully prepared, not their fault I must admit though. No matter, how well prepared they are mentally, as soon as they go to bat, the whole mental make-up changes. But still this niggling problem must not take the blame away from our batsmen. Its a shame if we go to South Africa and still want to
just drive and flick the ball. Give me a break please.

Finally, after reading everything that has been said above, one can still question my kind of analysis. I am more or less sure of what I have written because I play some cricket myself and follow Indian cricket very closely. I generally play on a cemented surface with a hard tennis ball.Obviously you have good bounce on such kind of tracks and I employ the pull and hook shots regularly(even for balls that are pitched on good length sometimes). On the other hand I am not that bad at playing forward
on pitches that offer the kind of bounce the Indian pitches are generally famous for. All this may happen not at 140 km/hr, but still the basics are the same whether its for 100 km or 140 km. If success is to be achieved as a batsman, basics must be adhered to. Its easy speaking about mixing caution and aggression for us, its tough for the players out there, but at this level I suppose they have to deliver at least 60% of the time. Its not happening and we are in a soup. Remember we must have the soup served, we must not be a part of it.

Love n Express!

someone we want to impress,
something we want to express,
a feeling hard to suppress,
which cannot be printed by any press,
but this everyone must confess,
if there is one thing which has nothing above.
it is only love,
its not a matter of mind
when two hearts bind
at least for once...
put your mind to rest
place on ur heart a little trust
then all will be just
for u have done it in your best interest

Life!

life is a mixed bag,
never give it the bad tag.
inspite of all the troubles it poses,
it is still a bed of roses
it is a path with thorns full
not as deadly as a horny bull
it is a band in hand
to be used like a magic wand
why do u worry ?
when there are things so merry
life after all
is fun and thrall
where there is everything to gain
and nothing to lose

Why blogging!

The first post had to be this. A question that everyone around me might ask:"Why did u start a blog?". Yours truly is a lazy guy, but he is fond of writing. Regular writing, I suppose, needs a public commitment. It is true that we just write for our happiness, but writing doesn't help or improve unless its done on a regular basis. Now that I have started a blog, I am more or less responsible to some of the people who take interest in visiting my blog and want to know wats going on. So dat makes it imperative dat I keep updating my blog regularly.
The other part of blogging is,of course, the kinda popularity u may get as a blogger. Yeah, a pretty and cute short term goal would be to be known as nice blogger,,, a nice social quo.Yes it must be. I mean without some kinda benefit, lots of things cant be done in this sick world. The first post will be only be this long. I wish myself happy blogging without making any unnecessary statements about the kind of writings to come.Have a nice time and do take good care of urself.
